Pros: Nice soundstage, very good value.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: Having owned Polk Audio Speaker before (LSi-15 line the whole line) Got these will cause I know Polk makes a good speaker for not a whole lot of money. Are there better speakers out there? sure they are. I have owned the M70,s before and these are every bit as good. Running these on an Onkyo TX-NR818 it does a nice job of opening these up like I said the soundstage is really nice on these 75T,s I also have the 15T center and the 45T,s in a 5.1 surround with a 10' sub. Don't get what some people are saying they don't but out a lot of bass?. The bass is very good mids and highs are really nice (clean) Polk got this one right. New Eggs service is outstanding. Shipping was also very good (UPS).
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: Full range speakers, excellent highs, mids and base. Great sound separation and range at all volume levels. Great deep sound Polk is known for. Some say they are big and heavy, but I like the tower look and the construction is solid.
Cons: The 'Cherry' is a very light tone, not a deeper cherry like mahogany so if you are matching up colors, it is more like scandanavian teak than cherry. I would have gone with the black if I had seen them before ordering online.
Overall Review: I bought these just before xmas, they came in two days, New Egg upgraded shipping for free and they were a great price. One leg came damaged, no problem, Newegg sent me one overnight and I got it next day (Xmas eve!!), great service.
My setup is a Yamaha 773 7.1 receiver, Martin Logan Center, Polk 75T fronts(not beamed) , and Cambridge Audio in wall rear speakers in a large two story family room. Well, after hooking them up and playing them for all kinds of music, TV and movies, I have to say I really enjoy them. I listen to a wide variety of music from Maroon 5 to James Taylor to classical and country. They have a full spectrum of sound, crystal clear highs from the tweeter, mids and vocals are great, base is excellent as well. Strings and guitar are crisp and clear, very well isolated, kids are rich and base is full where needed. I used the YPAO setup from Yamaha and it adjusts all of the levels to the listening area in about 3 minutes, a really great feature. I've played them at moderate levels initially, then really cranked them up, zero distortion and a very full spectrum of sound, more than enough for a 20 x 30 room. After a few weeks of break in I did notice that I could play them at a much lower level on the receiver and get more output, so it appears they do break in over a few weeks of playing them. Unless you have over $1K to spend on B&W or other really high end brands, I can't imaging getting more for your money at this price.

Great sound and looks beautiful12/21/2013 6:55:32 PM
Pros: Sound, apperance, quild quality.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: These were delivered on 2013/12/20 and I hooked them up as soon as I got home and let me tell, they sound fantastic. They replaced the front RM7’s and what a huge difference in sound. They make watching movies more fun and entertaining. In addition to its sound quality, the POLK Monitor 75T (Cherry) looks beautiful and compliments any home décor; take the grill off and it looks even better. Powering these with an Onkyo TX-SR707 in a 3.2 set.
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Bought these a few months ago, been very pleased so far. Rich sound. Some people claimed they didnt have much bass but, in my opinion, they must not be running enough juice into them. Delivered in perfect condition. Do not hesitate looking at the 'feet' of the speaker, they stand up straight.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Using a Onkyo NR-616 deck
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: They can be played very loud, they're very clear and great sounding. I have them connected to my yamaha rx-v671 receiver.
Cons: No bass at all. - good thing I have my pa-150 1000 watt subwoofer!
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: Beautiful cabinets, the cherry looks great. Sound is great! I have a sub which helps. I have not run these without the sub. My receiver supports a bi-amp configuration which I used with these speakers. It seems to really help with the low freqs.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: There is a lot of debate of bi-amplification but I think it does make a difference.
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Sound great and look great. Plenty of bass. Vocals sound like they are in the room with you.
Cons: Two days after I bought them the price dropped $20.
Overall Review: So many reviewers complained of a lack of bass with these speakers but I don't agree. I have a 2 channel, 100 wpc receiver powering them and they sound great. The louder it plays the better they sound.
Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: Big Bass Is Available
Cons: Need more power than your AVR to produce bass
Overall Review: I love reading the variety of reviews here. Some are spot on, some are, well....
If these 75T's are ANYthing like the Monitor 70's, they will give you good thumping bass. Before I upgraded to the RTiA series, I owned the Monitor Series II with the M70's as mains. I sold my entire 7.0 Monitor set up to a local in my area and as he came over to demo the speakers, I made sure he was aware that IF they didn't sound 'this good' when he got them home, it was due to the power I was feeding them. The big boy Monitors thrive on power to perform to their potential. When run on my Onk 807 (135wpc @ 2ch driven), the M70's would sound like most of the reviews here. When I added an XPA-3 (200wpc amp), the M70's responded with good bass response. When I demoed the M70's with an XPA-2 (300wpc), the buyer was quite relieved he didn't have a sub yet as the M70's put out bass felt in the floor (set at full range). Under powering a speaker can result in clipping and even damage it or worse yet, damage your equipment as well. Over powering the speaker (in the case of the Polks) can and will produce the sound you had hoped for in the beginning. So the final word here, if you think this speaker doesn't produce bass, try applying some 'real' power to it, then feel free to go back and modify your review :)

The name “Monitor” is special to Polk Audio. The original Polk Audio Monitor Series, produced in the mid-1970s, ushered in the modern loudspeaker era by setting the standard for performance and value. Pros: Sound Great, decent mix of highs mids and lows.
They came undamaged, they were packaged with reinforced cardboard corners likely to prevent the damaged grills that everyone else has complained about, it definitely helped keep the box sturdy and less damaged. At $158 and free shipping these arrived in 2 days so it was a great deal for the quality this product delivers.
Cons: There is some literature that came along with the speakers but it only shows 1 of the 5 methods for hookups to the terminals and doesn't put much more detail about bi-wiring and bi-amping other than a single picture. For people unfamiliar with this it would be nice to have something with a little more detail. This info can all be found with a couple quick google searches though.
Overall Review: I had a pair of Monitor 40s as my front speakers and moved them to the rear and put these 70s in the front. All around my system sounds crisper and louder at a slightly lower volume on the receiver than it needed to be before. I was surprised at the amount of bass they produced after reading some reviews from people saying they produced less or no bass frequencies, either they had a bad receiver or got a bad set delivered to them.
Given the value and quality of these I might be buying another pair of 70s in the future to replace the 40s, which by no means sound bad, but just don't put out as much sound as these.

Amazing sound Polk delivers again2/25/2019 2:57:28 PM
Pros: Great sound, noticeable difference with 60s. That with amazing next day delivery.
Cons: Nothing
Overall Review: Highly recommended. NegEgg outstanding never disappoints
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Got them on sale at a good price
They have a great sound to them and they look awesome Can be bi-amped They look super tough without the grill Great for music or movies I have a surround now that sounds almost perfect
Cons: heavy
Overall Review: be careful carrying them around
Love the feet
Pros: Clean, Efficient, Versatile floorstanding speakers. They take up very little floor space because of the vertical design. I use them in connection with Onkyo TX SR608 and in addition to the Polk Series 705 Home theater speaker set up. I had planned to use them with a separate sub in a zone 2 for my music as opposed to the 7.2 home theater but they are very capable of the whole range of tasks from late night low volume to full all out.I took advantage of a similar sale here at new egg and could not be more happy with the outcome. They are actually huge speakers and weigh in over 40# each but they seem to fit in nicely in my small tv room since they are built upward. The sound is big speaker depth and very clean will handle the coloring directions of your amps, can be bi ampped with the 5way mount posts..use banana plugs or hole and screw posts. There is no way to put the value into perspective for under $200 each you get nearly high end sound performance and good solid construction.
Cons: Connection posts could be better though they are just fine and not really a con but am required to use space. For the sale prices there are no cons for this particular item. crossovers work well , construction is solid and they are worth every penny of the sale cost the feet could be adjustable for uneven hard flooring, otherwise they are designed very well for carpets coming to a tapered point. I guess that is the only thing I saw that could have been offered along with connection post upgrade.
Overall Review: These speakers deliver great sound and great value. Speaker preference is very subjective and one person will hear the same sounds differently ..some people have hollower heads, some people have bigger and acoustically designed rooms, and who know how many other variables there are? It is personal thing in the end once basic criteria are met and these Polk 70 Monitor series to that. Flat, colored bass or treble aside , these will provide entry level and value conscious connoisseurs will appreciate what these offer and are one of a very few to consider when looking to begin or expand your Home Theater or entertainment rack.

Overall Review: I'm partial to the Cerwin Vegas simply because I had them since 1988. I'm used to them. they sound the same at low volumes as the do at high volume. I have a CS2 series II center (discontinued) and a Klipsch Reference RW-12d 12' Powered Sub. all from Newegg.

Overall Review: Highly recommended if you have champagne tastes on a beer budget. Would buy again for $149 each

Loud, Powerful, and Easy Sound7/25/2018 11:11:26 AM
Pros: -Clear at any volume
-Loud!!! -Not tinny -Easy setup Polk Audio Monitor 60 ReviewsCons: -NoneOverall Review: Have had these for 9 months now and have had no issues whatsoever. I really enjoy these speakers! Setup took less than 10 minutes and they look great.Ownership: more than 1 yearGood speakers but lack of bass5/29/2018 7:25:28 AM
Pros: High and mid sound great with this price range. A best buy.
Cons: Bass sound is very weak from the speaker. You need a subwoofer to bring music to full. there are 12' cuts on each side of the boxes. The deliver people cut them to put hands in the box to carry them. The speakers inside were fine. But that should not be happened
Overall Review: Great speakers with Great price, definitely need a sub. Delivery was very not as proper as it should be.
